Competencies to be acquired by students
The main goal of the HCI is to educate students in the development of usable interactive systems. This master prepares students to design, implement, and evaluate computer interfaces so that they are accessible and easy for people to use. This interdisciplinary degree integrates concepts and methods from computer science, graphic design and the social sciences to provide a comprehensive understanding of the user-centered design process.
After 3 semesters, our students go on to successful careers where they lead and collaborate in the design and implementation of effective, efficient, and desirable software and technical systems. They are prepared to integrate multidisciplinary teams that typically develop software, interfaces and systems. They have expertise extended for building successful user interfaces, the design principles that make user interfaces visually clear and appealing, and the techniques for identifying needs for software, its success, and the people and organizations that will use their systems.
